ANXIETY THERAPY IN PASADENA, CA & ONLINE
You can’t switch off your anxious mind - and it’s exhausting
And while it might look like you’re functioning well - internally it feels like too much.
Maybe you’ve tried breathing exercises, meditation, and podcasts, but nothing helps for long.
I provide therapy in Pasadena for anxiety, overthinking, and perfectionism to help you feel calmer and more in control.
Are you tired of the constant worrying and overthinking?
Anxiety in small amounts can be helpful - it serves as an alert system about potential threats, increasing motivation and getting you moving.
But if you find yourself dwelling on negative thoughts (ruminating), constantly striving for perfection, and overthinking every detail, then it’s most definitely not helpful.
Especially if it’s hard to make a decision because you doubt yourself.
Does this sound like you?
Often doubting and second guessing yourself
Regularly overthinking or ruminating
Struggling with imposter syndrome
Difficulty switching off your mind and feeling overwhelmed
What we’ll work on
Insight alone isn’t enough
01
First we’ll work to understand what’s driving the anxiety and where these patterns might have come from
02
Then we’ll treat it
03
My approach is warm, practical, and active. I’m compassionate, but I won’t simply sit and nod while you stay stuck in the same painful patterns
04
I frequently use EMDR to help process past experiences that may still be keeping your nervous system in high alert
05
I also use mindfulness, TM, and nervous system regulation strategies (polyvagal theory) to help you feel calmer and more grounded
06
For some people whose anxiety feels particularly stuck I also offer ketamine assisted psychotherapy (KAP).

Anxiety FAQs
-
Yes! The right sort of therapy can absolutely help with anxiety. I don’t just use talk therapy, which can have its limitation, I’ll help you identify where your anxiety might have originated - when your brain first believed that anxiety would help. And then we’ll use EMDR to help rewire your thoughts, and help you feel more in control.

I believe that you could expect your anxiety symptoms to lower within a few months, if you’re able to attend therapy session regularly.

Sometimes anxiety can look a lot like ADHD - when your mind is scanning for problems, worrying about outcomes, or staying on alert, then your concentration and motivations can suffer too.
Sometimes it’s anxiety. Sometimes it’s ADHD. And sometimes it’s both.
Our work together will be to understand what is driving your experience so that we can treat your symptoms effectively.
