Talk Therapy
Maybe you just want a space to process everything and make sense of what you’re feeling.
My Approach
Talk therapy is what most people think of when they hear about therapy - sitting opposite someone who asks you how you feel. While it might seem like a cliche, there’s actually a lot that’s happening under the surface.
By naming your emotions you’re actually taming them - helping calm your brain’s emotional alarm system by engaging your brain’s thinking center. In this way you regain control and can respond more intentionally.
As a therapist, I am trained to listen in a particular way, to notice patterns, and to ask questions in a certain way that helps open things up. It allows you to explore the way you think, feel, and act. And it’s this sort of approach, week after week, that creates real change.
